About Us

The CSDED is a Planning and Development District serving seven counties and thirteen municipalities in central South Dakota.

It is a quasi-government agency that provides technical assistance to our members in a variety of forms.

The CSDED creates cooperative solutions for regional issues.

   We focus to accomplish our mission by:

1.  Collaborating with local governments, communities, and businesses.
2.  Developing practical, short and long term plans for the region.
3.  Assisting our region with grants, planning, and administrative functions.
4.  Responding quickly and efficiently to our region's requests for assistance.
5.  Saving our agencies money by minimizing the duplication of efforts.
6.  Finding new and ongoing sources of funding for various issues.

2018-2022 CSDED Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Update

The Central South Dakota Enhancement District is in the process of updating the 2018-2022 CSDED Comprehensive Development Strategy (CEDS). A draft of the document is available HERE. Please feel free to review and make comments. The 30-day comment period will end December 23, 2017. All comments should be emailed to enhancement@csded.org.
